Chinese Assessment Task 1 – Term 3, 2018

Restaurant Conversation

Task: To present a conversation set in either a restaurant or a market place.

Details:
·      The conversation must be between two people; a waiter and a customer, OR a buyer and a seller. The conversation must be in Chinese (Mandarin).
·      The conversation must go for about half a minute to a minute.
·      Each student writes their own script. They can ask another student to help perform their conversation. The student being assessed can choose which role they wish to take in their script (waiter/seller, customer).
·      Time will be given in class to write and practice the script.
·      The Script can either be hand written or typed on a computer.
·      Marks will be given out of 20 (see rubric). This assessment is worth 20% of the total mark for Semester 2.
·      Students can base their conversations on material already covered in class.
·      The due dates for the students presentations are:
o  Years 7A & 7B – Wednesday 5thSeptember
o  Years 8 & 9 – Thursday 6thSeptember
·      If any individual is having difficulty completing the requirements of this assignment they must see me before the due date.
